Compensation: $45,000 – $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and location
Position Overview :
The Assistant Buyer is a crucial part of the purchasing department, providing support in acquiring goods and services for the organization. This role involves a range of tasks, such as vendor management, order placement, and data analysis, all aimed at optimizing procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the sourcing and evaluation of potential suppliers.
- Work closely with the Senior Buyer to prepare and issue purchase orders.
- Monitor order statuses, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues with suppliers.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing, and product availability.
- Assist in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records related to pricing, delivery, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in procurement or a related area.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of procurement software is a plus.
