Position Overview :
The Online Grocery Pickup Associate plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers who order groceries online. This role is responsible for accurately picking and packing items, communicating effectively with customers, and managing time-sensitive tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accurately pick items for online orders using a handheld device, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Pack items carefully to prevent damage and ensure a pleasant unboxing experience for customers.
- Monitor inventory and notify the supervisor about stock-outs or other issues.
- Review and execute customer substitution preferences when specific items are not available.
- Load orders into customer vehicles, offering excellent customer service.
- Confirm identification and orders before releasing goods to customers.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standards, including proper lifting techniques and use of equipment.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to stand/walk for the duration of the shift.
- Basic computer skills for operating handheld devices.
