Job Description : Server Assistant

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Employment Status: Part-Time/Full-Time

Compensation: $8 – $12 per hour plus tips, depending on location and experience


Position Overview :

The Server Assistant is an integral part of the restaurant team, focused on supporting servers and bartenders to ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests. This role involves various tasks, from clearing tables to assisting with food and drink service.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist servers in setting tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables for the next service.
  • Keep workstations clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies like cutlery, napkins, and condiments.
  • Assist with food and drink service, including refilling water glasses and delivering food orders to tables.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as directed, such as polishing silverware and folding napkins.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and communicate them to the serving staff or management.
  • Assist bartenders by restocking the bar with glassware, ice, and other necessities.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in food service is a plus but not required.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (where applicable).
