Job Summary :
The Quality Auditor plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing product and service quality by conducting regular and thorough audits. They meticulously inspect products, processes, and systems to ensure adherence to company and industry standards. Their insights help refine processes, minimize defects, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Audit Execution :
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc quality audits on products, processes, and systems.
- Identify deviations from established standards and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting :
- Document audit findings and present reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of audit summaries for senior management.
Continuous Improvement :
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to implement corrective actions.
- Recommend process improvements to minimize defects and enhance product quality.
Training & Development :
- Provide training to staff on quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and quality assurance techniques.
Compliance :
- Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with industry and company standards.
- Monitor adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
Collaboration :
- Coordinate with external auditors during third-party inspections.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, research and development, and supply chain.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Assurance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with quality standards relevant to the industry (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certification as a Quality Auditor or related certification.
- Previous experience in a quality assurance role.
- Proficiency with quality assurance software and tools.
Working Conditions :
- It may require occasional travel to different company sites or suppliers.
- Potential exposure to production environments, requiring the use of protective equipment.
Compensation :
Annual Salary: $50,000 to $75,000, depending on experience, qualifications, industry, and company size.
