Position Overview :
The Kennel Technician is a vital part of the animal care team, responsible for the welfare and day-to-day care of animals boarded at the facility. This role involves feeding, cleaning, and monitoring the health and well-being of animals, ensuring they are comfortable and safe.
Key Responsibilities :
- Feed and water animals according to schedules and feeding instructions.
- Perform cleaning duties such as washing bowls, sweeping kennel areas, and removing waste.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the Kennel Manager or Veterinarian.
- Exercise dogs and engage in playtime to ensure their mental and physical stimulation.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for animals being boarded.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in animal care is a plus.
- Basic understanding of animal behavior and needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be comfortable working with a variety of animal breeds and sizes.
