Position Overview
A Business Systems Analyst bridges the gap between IT and business operations. Their primary role is to analyze business processes and work closely with IT professionals and stakeholders to design, implement, and refine systems that optimize efficiency and productivity. Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering: Meet with stakeholders to capture, document, and prioritize specific system requirements.

- System Design & Recommendation: Translate business requirements into specific system or application requirements for IT teams or third-party vendors.
- Testing & Implementation: Oversee the testing phase of new system deployments to ensure they meet business needs. Facilitate training sessions for users when necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Post-implementation, monitor systems to ensure they yield the desired results and suggest modifications as needed.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems, processes, and workflows.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and coordinate with vendors when implementing third-party solutions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Some positions may require a master’s degree or specific certifications.
- Prior experience in a systems analyst role, preferably within the relevant industry.
- Proficiency in systems modelling tools, data analysis software, and other relevant technologies.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
