Department: Community Engagement/Outreach

Reports To: Community Engagement Manager/Director

Employment Status: Full-Time

Compensation: $40,000 – $60,000 annually (varies based on location, industry, and experience)


Position Overview :

The Community Liaison acts as a bridge between the organization and the community. Their primary goal is to foster strong relationships, facilitate communication, and ensure that the organization’s and the community’s needs are met and understood.


Key Responsibilities :

  1. Community Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to promote mutual understanding and collaboration.
  2. Communication: Convey the organization’s initiatives, programs, and objectives to the community and give feedback to help in decision-making.
  3. Event Coordination: Organize and attend community events, meetings, and workshops to represent the organization and gather insights.
  4. Data Collection: Collect and analyze data on community needs, sentiments, and perceptions to inform organizational strategies.
  5. Report Preparation: Create detailed reports on community engagement activities, challenges faced, and opportunities identified.
  6. Training: Train and educate community members and organizational staff about respective needs, expectations, and available resources.
  7. Conflict Resolution: Address any concerns or misunderstandings between the community and the organization, ensuring harmonious relations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Relations, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in community engagement or a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to empathize with and understand community needs.
  • Proficient in using various communication tools and platforms.
