Job Summary :

The Grant Administrator is pivotal in managing and overseeing the grant process within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with grantor guidelines, coordinating grant application processes, and tracking and reporting on grant expenditures. An excellent Grant Administrator is organized, detail-oriented, and adept at liaising between various organizational departments and external funding sources.


Key Responsibilities :

Application & Proposal Assistance :

  • Collaborate with project teams in preparing and submitting grant applications.
  • Review proposals to ensure they meet funder specifications and organizational standards.

Grant Management & Oversight :

  • Track and manage grants, ensuring that funds are used as specified by the grantor and that all conditions are met.
  • Coordinate and oversee the reporting requirements for each grant.

Compliance & Documentation :

  • Ensure all grant activities comply with organizational policies and funder regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive digital and paper records for each grant.

Financial Coordination :

  • Work with the finance department to monitor grant expenditures and budget alignments.
  • Prepare financial reports related to grant activities.

Communication :

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external grantors.
  • Communicate grant guidelines and requirements to relevant staff, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant administration, research administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with grant writing.
  • Familiarity with specific grant management software or platforms.
  • A solid understanding of the specific sector the organization operates in (e.g., education, non-profit, health).

Working Conditions :

  • Predominantly office-based with some flexibility for remote work.
  • May require occasional travel for grant-related conferences or meetings.

Compensation :

Annual Salary: $45,000 to $65,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and organizational size.
